After unforeseeably running away with her lover, 10 year old Suresh must deal with the ordeal of life without a sister figure

In Nepal, daughters are seen as an emotion. My elder-sister is the first child of our home and I the youngest son. She had always been a good student and my tutor since childhood. While I was enjoying my days with her, a day came when she, a sudden ran away from home to marry, only to leave behind me with countless golden memories spent with her. In my village full of superstitions, within few days it was evident for the hurricane to escalate with the news about my sister's elopement. Consequently, our family had to face painful disgrace from the society. And so, a huge wall of separation was created between the family and her. From that day, my elder-sister became a stranger to me too. • When, years after I came to the city to pursue my studies, mother called me to the village, this time to perform the marriage of my sister with true rituals. I had to enter the same lonely and superstitious place, my hometown. According to Nepali culture, a sister must be carried on back by her brother during farewell. I remember through the ritual, When i was carrying her, the memories spent with her through the childhood became much heavier at my heart. It was at that moment I realized, I love my sister to core. Trying to feed my curiosity of why my sister ran away, I then became inspired to speak our story through a film; me being passionate filmmaker. • I want to dedicate this film to my loving sister who gave me the light of knowledge
