I realized we weren’t only being hired to produce videos for clients, but to serve a greater marketing need of driving results. Those results were clickthroughs, purchases, or securing investment. Nukhu was created out of necessity for brands who saw limited results with advertising platforms promoting their products and for filmmakers that participated in notable events, yet still could not foster support to further their career. I understood the value was in raising the bar for how people regard what they consume, not as a scrollable moment you passively consider, but as artwork that contributes to the cultural conversation and worth far more than the hard cost to create it.
