Mixed Signals

Mixed Signals is the story of two buddy traffic lights, Luis and Alex, who wake up and begrudgingly begin their daily routine of maintaining traffic on Blabersham Street. When Luis convinces Alex to embarrass himself in front of a lovely lady they begin to bicker. Their rapid changing of emotions cause their lights to go out of sync with one another. The confusion caused by the changing lights cause mayhem in the intersection below.

"Mixed Signals" is a project I made in the effort to make other people laugh. When I came up with the concept I knew it was one that I'd have to pursue because as I made the concept art and the animatic it constantly made me laugh. I always know a project will be good if it can make you laugh while your're making it. I hope I can share this film with others so that they can join in on the laughter.
